Whistleblowing

The expression "whistleblower" refers to the person who reports, to the bodies authorized to intervene, violations or irregularities that damage the integrity of a company, favoring the emergence of cases of illicit activity. The purpose of reporting is to prevent or resolve a current or potential problem in a timely manner: it is an act through which the whistleblower contributes to the emergence and prevention of risks and prejudicial situations for a company.

Whistleblowing is the corporate compliance tool aimed at encouraging reporting and protecting both the company and the person making the report, guaranteeing the latter a protectionist system based on the protection of confidentiality and the prohibition of applying retaliatory measures.
